New Buffalo
New Buffalo is located at the mouth of the Galien River on Michigan's west coast just north of the Indiana border. It is about a 90-minute drive from Chicago and the first stop for many visitors to Michigan entering from Indiana on eastbound Interstate 94.
New Buffalo greets visitors with a large and modern refuge harbor, a full service transient dock facility, an around-the-clock public boat launch. There is plenty of shopping, places to stay, places to eat, and recreation — making it an ideal place to live or play.
New Buffalo is also the location for Southwestern Michigan's first gambling casino, the Four Winds Casino Resort, which opened August 2, 2007.
